Sitting Sling
Sizing
The VERA-LIFT™ sitting sling should be long enough to extend from the bottom of the patient’s coccyx to two to three inches below the lower edge of the patient’s shoulder blades.
The VERA-LIFT™ sitting sling can be used to transfer patients who do not exhibit behavior during transfers that might pose risk of injury to the patient or for staff members during seated transfers. Patients must also be able to sit erect with arms on the outside of the sitting sling and able to have both knees against the knee rest. Material
Sitting slings are available in your choice of “standard†cloth polyester, “H†cloth, which is high-heat polyester that withstands temperatures up to 200°. “Mesh†a polyester material (for bathing). You may also choose “C†cloth a cool-heat polyester that withstands temperatures up to 167° and has a non-absorbent coating on one side for easy spot cleaning. All slings and belts are also available in a disposable material to help with infection control and cross contamination issues. There are many different custom options available.
